Regina - Regina Palliative Care Inc. (RPCI) is holding the inaugural Good Mourning Walk on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at 10:30 AM in Wascana Centre. The 4 kilometre walk starts and finishes at Douglas Park. The Good Mourning Walk will bring families and friends together to walk in memory of a family member or special person who has died. Along the route, walkers will learn about what's involved in the grieving process and how they can receive support. Participants are encouraged to collect pledges that will help to fund programs to help people dealing with an anticipated or an unexpected death loss and need specialized support. The registration fee is: $10.00 per person or a minimum pledge of $50.00 $20.00 per family or a minimum pledge of $50.00 Cheques should be made payable to Regina Palliative Care Inc. RPCI's Greystone Bereavement Centre, opened in 2008, provides a safe place for people to learn to cope with their loss and to journey through grief.
