Earlier this year, CTV met with representatives of Regina Palliative Care Inc. (RPCI) to discuss the television network's involvement in promoting the goals of RPCI's new bereavement facility: Greystone Bereavement Centre. CTV came to understand the need for more bereavement programs in the province, as well as the positive impact the new Greystone Bereavement Centre was going to have on people dealing with loss. As a result, CTV became RPCI's exclusive television partner, providing province-wide, on-air promotions to assist with awareness and raising funds to establish the Greystone Bereavement Centre. CTV has a long history of working with community organizations and charities in the province to help support vital services which deliver needed care and lifestyle options to the people of Saskatchewan. Through its association with Greystone Bereavement Centre, CTV is privileged to have this opportunity to serve adults, teens and children, who are adversely affected by loss and in need of the programs which the Centre offers. A dedication to community is also exemplified in CTV's daily operations. Since the early 1950's, the CTV News team has kept Saskatchewan residents informed with a comprehensive news and events package, along with national and international news coverage. Today, with stations in Saskatoon, Regina, Prince Albert and Yorkton, CTV continues to provide #1 Rated newscasts, including the supper-hour and late-night newscasts, seven days a week, plus a full hour of news weekdays at noon. CTV is honoured to partner with RPCI in support of the Greystone Bereavement Centre as it helps people learn to live with loss. |
