Canadian Progress Club Regina Wascana

The Canadian Progress Club (CPC) Regina Wascana is a part of a highly successful network of Canadian Progress Clubs spanning across all of Canada.  The club was chartered in May of 1983 and since then the effort and support of the club has been targeted to the needs of women, children, families and the terminally ill.

Since 1988 their signature fundraising event Festival of Trees has raised nearly one million dollars for charities and agencies in the community.  With the support of title sponsor Mosaic Potash and the efforts of hundreds of community volunteers, designers and businesses, the Convention Hall at the Conexus Arts Centre is annually transformed into a beautiful Christmas wonderland with exceptionally designed trees, wreaths and vignettes.

An association with Regina Palliative Care Inc. (RPCI) started over 20 years ago and that partnership continues with a commitment to raise $150,000 in support of the Greystone Bereavement Centre over the next three years.

CPC Regina Wascana, along with RPCI, the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region and the Salvation Army was also instrumental in the initiative to build a Palliative Care Hospice, completed in 2005 at the William Booth Care Home.  It was the club's initial investment that provided the bricks and mortar to build the Hospice.  Most recently, Festival of Trees donations ensured the development and completion of a Serenity Garden at the Regina Wascana Grace Hospice & William Booth Care Home in the summer of 2008.

The club understands the importance of these programs that aid individuals who have suffered the loss of a loved one, and help them reinvest in life and living.  An aim for all Canadian Progress Clubs is to "aid and assist those in need".  Through the partnership with RPCI, CPC Regina Wascana is striving towards that goal.
